Frank's confidence in having the votes to say, and also in Dan, is pretty sad considering he's going to get stabbed in the back. For someone who orchestrated all of this, Dan isn't all that careful what he says around him and has a slip-up. While chopping food, which provided a useful distraction, he wondered to Frank who Joe would put up if he won HOH. But wait, Joe's on the block with Frank, so for that to happen, Joe would be the one who would have to stay, not Frank! Frank just looks confused, but Dan, chopping his food, deflects his boo-boo. Dan's mist has never been so strong!
Joe, seeking votes, also has a slip-up. At one point, he's telling Dan he's safe, when in reality, Joe would put up Dan. Late at night with the lights off, Dan comes in the bedroom where Joe is sleeping. Joe, thinking it's Shane, starts to spill the exact conversation he had with Dan TO Dan! Ugh, Joe. You're beyond dumb in this game.
Shane then comes in the room a few seconds later, and he and Dan have a good laugh over it.
Live Voting Results
For some reason, the entire house is dressed up for this live event, which I don't think has happened before. Ian, Shane and Joe are all wearing dress shirts. Everyone has gotten the menu except Frank and Dan. I get the feeling they only brought one dress shirt -- for finale night. Here's now the voting goes down:
Dan votes to evict ... Frank
Danielle votes to evict ... Frank
Jenn votes to evict ... Joe
Shane votes to evict ... Frank
Frank is evicted 3-1! What seemed to be the impossible just happened. Frank looks shocked, and only hugs Jenn as he leaves the house. Frank, keeping it classy as always. During his interview with host Julie Chen, Frank says he's bummed and that it's "absolutely" personal with Dan.
It's interesting Dan broke his word to Frank, when he could've voted for Joe, which would've forced Ian to break the tie -- and it still would've been Frank out the door. But he likely wanted to show Joe his trust, just in case he won the next HOH.
HOH Competition
There are seven rounds in this competition, with one point awarded for the right answer. It's a game of identifying which house guest said what while they were on the block.
Round 1: "Everyone underestimated me as a player." Ashley said this. Jenn gets it right.
Round 2: "Down to brass tax, and I need a vote" Boogie said this. Jenn, Dan and Danielle pick up a point.
Round 3: "Nobody should let a bully dictate how they play this game." Frank said this. Everyone but Jenn gets a point.
Round 4: "I came into this house thinking I was going to play a dirty game." JoJo said this. Jenn, Dan and Danielle get another point.
Round 5: "I've played an honest game." Kara said this. Jenn, Dan and Danielle are right.
Round 6: "If I can help your game out in any way, please vote to keep me in the house." Janelle said this. Jenn, Dan and Danielle continue to play with the lead!
Round 7: "No one said the 'Big Brother' game is fair." JoJo said this. No one got it right.
Tiebreaker question for Jenn, Dan and Danielle: Without going over, how many minutes elapsed between Jodi entering the house to her walking out the door?
Jenn: 160
Dan: 363
Danielle: 230
The answer of 8 hours is 480 minutes ... which means Dan wins HOH!
Nominees, POV and Eviction in Under 15 Minutes
Dan nominates Joe -- not a surprise -- and ... Ian? There's a collective gasp from the studio audience, but it's not hard to see it's absolutely a strategic move. It's almost unbelievable this is the first time Ian has been on the block.
For the Power of Veto competition, it's a puzzle maze, which will totally favor Ian. But it's interesting to watch because whoever holds the lead always has to backtrack because they went the wrong way.
In the end, Ian wins the POV and takes himself off the block. Dan puts up Danielle in his place! Another game move, but everyone -- including Danielle -- is shocked.
Live voting is up and:
Shane votes to evict ... Joe
Jenn votes to evict ... Joe
Ian votes to evict ... Joe
Joe is evicted 3-0! It's sad that Joe already had his bags packed since he was on the block earlier in the hour. What a crazy hour, and there's only two weeks left.
