While the NFL officially began their season last night, not everyone was thinking about touchdowns. On The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, basketball was the name of the game, and it featured a basketball legend and a tattooed musician.
It's Showtime!
Legendary NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson was welcomed on The Tonight Show by his adoring fans in Los Angeles. His co-guest, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, even showed up wearing a very old-school Lakers t-shirt (whether he was wearing it ironically has yet to be confirmed). However, the most entertaining act of the entire night came when Magic and Adam faced off in the "Tonight Show Basketball Blowout," or otherwise known as a simple game of horse. Adam surprisingly kept up with Magic, working the crowd and making a clutch three-pointer to tie the game. Ultimately, Magic ended up winning. His prize? Two tickets to an L.A. Clippers game. Maybe he should've let Adam win.
